Hello and welcome!

I've been a musician most of my life, a songwriter, guitar and bass player and more. My forte may have been singing but in the past 30 years I have added producing, arranging, engineering and all around musical production to the mix. I started playing music at an early age and played in many, many groups locally and on the road. My greatest joy, however was to be a part of Andrae Crouch & the Disciples group in the late 70’s where I played bass and sang on four albums. We toured extensively throughout the world playing such venues as the Sydney Opera House in Australia, Albert Hall in London, and Carnegie Hall in NY to name a few. I won my Grammy Award with Andrae for his 1978 Live in London album…what a thrill!  I went on to have my own gospel album on Light Records but eventually drifted back into secular music where I fronted my own group, Spare Hare here in the Inland Empire full of great players such as Steve Tavaglione, Johnny Meza, Gary Bruington, Mike Hodge, Dio Saucedo and guests from time to time such as Brandon Fields, Michael O'Neal and Carlos de la Paz. In 1984 I was selected as lead vocalist (though one of many over the years) with Tower of Power…my tenure was brief but hey, it was very cool while it lasted.

Since then I have concentrated on producing other studio projects for artists such as Dean Mills plus I have a group with my wife, vocalist Delaney, which features fellow Grammy Award Winner and long time friends, Glen Myerscough on sax and percussionist/vocalist, Dio Saucedo.

Finally, throughout the years I have always LOVED the LORD but admit I didn’t always do my best to serve HIM or be a light for HIM. Much has changed and I am dedicated now more than ever to using the talents GOD has given to me to glorify and praise HIM for the rest of my days.

I humbly thank you for visiting this site and giving the cutz a listen. I welcome hearing from you anytime to talk shop, reminisce and catch up and please know that my studio is here for pre-production, overdubs, mixing and mastering if you're interested.

Blessings, Jaymes
